The housing of a multi-phase alternating current generator houses a rectifier bridge assembly that converts the AC generated by the alternator into DC. In addition to positive heat sinks positioned in both planes, the rectifier assembly also includes a negative heat sink in a second plane parallel to the first. Solid copper cavity nests are pushed into the heat sinks and are used to nest and secure semiconductors. An insulating gasket separates the heat sinks from one another.
